3/7/2024 0 Comments Warcraft 3 warcraft 2 mod![]() ![]() If anything, they should be a cheap $5 (maybe $10 if all part of one full package) love letters to fans of the old games, updating graphics and optimizing for modern PCs. ![]() I’d be down for remastering the old games for historical sake, but don’t expect them to be massive projects. I feel like the work required would be fairly minimal.Īs for people talking about D2, there’s no world in which they don’t do D1/D2, and they can just give those the SC:R treatment graphics-wise and it will still keep the atmosphere. Ultimately I want to see a pretty faithful remake of those games, instead of just giving us a map editor-esque version of WC1/2 in the WC3R engine.Īlternatively, they could probably do it the SC:R way and just soup up the graphics a bit and released a combined WC1/2/BTDP game for like $10 or $15. Maybe update the AI as well (the AI in WC1 is absurdly predictable). Maybe keep selection boxes, right clicking (for WC1), control groups, but bring back the rest of the WC1/2 features. I want the faster paced gameplay of the first two. That said, I don’t want them to be played with the WC3 game features. It would make much more sense (both in terms of work required and continuity) for the WC1 and 2 campaigns to just be Nova-esque addons to WC3:R. However, there is no reason to remaster WC1/2 beyond the campaign multiplayer is nonexistent for WC1 and very, very, very niche for WC2. I’ll preface this by saying that I actually want WC1/2 MUCH more than I ever wanted WC3 remastered. i dont have a button or anything it just autodetects and switches res automatically as far as I know. This seems like the most likely scenario. i mean i could stretch it out if I really wanted to but I rather it just display in the proper res. ![]() Sometimes I wonder why nowadays retrogamers opt for shaders with curvatures, when in the times of curved crts we've done everything to get a square as possible image from them. (with every change of Hardware (GFX Adapter/Monitor) anew) etc.) via setting the Windows Desktop with a Background Picture containing a Pattern of Rectangles/Squares and True Circles to each Res (+Freq) and meddling whole nights with all those settings for Screen Position/Size/Geometric Correction (Trapez etc.) on my monitor(s). Sha_n_Dra: That is weird - Your CRT is 4:3, or? Because in FullScreen it should switch to the Mode (Res/Frequency) used by the Game and as Warcraft II is Aspect 4/3 there shouldn't be any Black Bars - have you calibrated the Resolution Warcraft II is switching to on your Monitor? If your Lucky, your Monitor has a hotkey to auto calibrate, if not -> I remember too well the times where I sat before the Monitor and adjusted all Resolutions/Frequencies I was going to use (640x480/800圆00/1024x768 50Hz/60Hz/75Hz/. With this I just edited the ddraw.ini file to the proper resolution and it fit my monitor properly. I have an old crt computer monitor I use and before It would fullscreen but with black bars all around.
